Day one of our journey. Our goal...to see the United States, learn about our nations history, tour Church history sites, and have a blast.

Today is day one, but we were so excited to go, that we left last night and drove for a couple of hours. The rest stop was full, so we parked under the freeway and went to bed.

This morning we drove across the California and Arizona deserts. Then as we approached Williams Arizona (Where the turnoff into the Grand Canyon National Park is) the scenery suddenly changed. Lots of pine trees and snow.

Tonight we are staying at an RV park in Gallup, New Mexico. It is very baren and dry. The sun is shining, but it is actually very cold outside.
