This Easter Morning, we decided to take a long walk down by the river. We are camping next to the Little Pigeon River.
It was so peaceful and beautiful, and the ducks and geese seemed to enjoy the company.
Yesterday as we came into town, we were surprizes that the whole town seems like an amusement park. For blocks and blocks...Go carts, carnival type rides and games, miniature golf, bungee jumping...with many churches amongst all the other fun.
Our life together began on June 21, 1975 when we were married for all eternity in the LDS Temple in Los Angeles. We have one son, 3 daughters, all grown and married. They have given us 7 wonderful grandchildren (so far). We have 6 grand daughters and 1 grandson ranging in age from 19 months to 14 years old.
Russ has spent 33 years working for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept. and has recently retired. Cindy worked as a full time mother and now works as a full time grandmother, helping to raise the grandchildren. Both of us have worked as volunteers at the schools and at church.
We are still very much in love and you will find us doing most everything as a team. We love to travel and are planning to do a lot of traveling now that Russ is retired. Our first trip is scheduled to start March 24, 2010, when we will tour the United States for 10 weeks.
